Posted this on fb too but I recently shared the Nex Playground with the founder of Protect Young Eyes because your approach in this area is so refreshing - while having truly great games! He was intrigued and plans to look more into it this summer to see if it’s something he’d recommend.
Too many tech companies put profits over child safety. So thankful Nex is different.
Your privacy policy says "When you use the Services, we may collect information about you, including name, email address, performance statistics, user name, photos/ videos or preferences and we may link this information with other information about you."
You say that's not true. Which do I believe?
I tend to believe the lawyers over a claim on a blog.
The privacy policy governs all our interactions with our customers. When you contact our customer support, we do ask for photos / videos during troubleshooting
We have specific section for Nex Playground in our privacy policy, see:
Some of the Services (e.g. some select games on Nex Playground) may be used by children under the age of 13 with the permission of their parents/ guardians, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without obtaining parental consent. That said, we do not collect any images and/ or video of any users’ interaction with Nex Playground, regardless of such users’ ages...

There's no way we can get KidSAFE+ COPPA certified if don't make strong committment to privacy.
